Dollar tree printer ink

Print in Fast Draft mode. Go to:

Control Panel > Printers >
Right Click the printer you are using and scroll down to Printing Preferences
Go to printing shortcuts
Under Print quality select Fast Draft

Your printer will use half the ink normally used with only slightly lower quality.

You don't need the color cartridge on most printers. However you will need an empty one in it's place in order to print at all.

Consider a laser printer. They are much faster than an inkjet printer. Laser printer toner is very expensive but lasts for years.

As a college student, it seems like I print at least three papers, articles, ect. out every day. Unfortunately, I am beginning to see how this amount of printing has affected by budget (ink cartridges are expensive!). Your tip might just save me some extra money that I could put towards more important purchases. Thanks!

You can sometimes highlight only the text you want to print and in the print screen choose a setting to "print selection" only instead of the whole page. Lastly, you can sometimes even opt to not print out background colors and background images. I'm all about saving money, and ink is expensive!

I am using PretonSaver Home and get way better quality than Draft and way better savings.
It is a software that works with all type of printers, does not require me to change my settings, and save up to 70% of ink /toner.

Give it a try. Free download at ( )
