Save your bars of soap after they have whittled down to soap chips. Place the soap chips in a microwavable dish with about 2 tablespoons of water. Microwave until melted. Remove the clump of soap and give it 1 hour to solidify. wallah! A new bar of soap!
Hang your washed and wet clothes outside to dry instead of using a dryer.
Use newspaper with Windex to clean your mirrors and windows. You will save on paper towels and the ink from the newspaper will polish your windows without streaking.
Make your own window cleaner with 1/2 white vinegar and 1/2 water.

Equate is Walmart's generic brand Pine Sol household cleaning agent - Must be brand name Pine-sol! Spic and Span all-purpose household cleanser - dollar store Renuzit Air Freshener 94¢ - make sure it says "odor killer" - Walmart Glade Air Freshener Spray 99¢ - again make sure it say "eliminates odors" - Walmart I may change or update these choices in the future.
Buy cleaning supplies at the dollar store, but don't sacrifice quality for savings. For example, I will not buy Q-tips, garbage bags, or room deodorizers from the dollar store. The Q-tips barely have any cotton to them and the room deodorizers have a pungent smell and only disguise odors. I will buy Aim toothpaste.
Barter services. If you don't have a washing machine and your neighbor doesn't have a lawn mower, tell him you'll mow his lawn if he let's you use his washing machine.
